From hobby to a small business.

It all started with me having an idea to make a bracelet that could function as a napkin ring, place card and a small gift in one – for a friends’ Christmas table. I customized the bracelets with different colors and combinations, depending on what I felt suited each friend, and added their initials.

After this, I really got my blood pumping!

I discovered that there are an incredible number of beautiful semi-precious stones – all unique, many fascinating. It is said that these stones have properties that can affect us in different ways. Either alone or in combination, they can have effects that are customized according to need.

In addition, it is great fun to put the stones together in different colors and designs, which creates cool expressions.

Most often, there is a thought or meaning behind each design, but sometimes I also make something just because I like a certain combination of shape, color and expression.

Inspiration can come from anything – places, nature, people, other designs, films, visual impressions, or completely random ideas. I also like to come up with fun and appropriate names for each creation, which often provides further association and inspiration.

I created a website because I was encouraged to do so and because several people on Social Media asked where they could buy By Beta Design bracelets.

This has just been a hobby that I enjoy. It is something completely different from what I work with on a daily basis. It is incredibly satisfying to have a creative outlet that provides some variety in everyday life.
